I have a unit that someone else set up or I have forgotten the IP address I assigned the unit. How can I find out what it is set to? |

Using the Port Server Utility that is installed as part of NativeCOM, you can often discover the IP address of a unit. Boot the unit and plug it into the same network as your Windows host. Start the Port Server Utility and look for the Ethernet address of your unit in the list of port servers it finds. Depending on the version of software in the unit, you may be able to assign the unit a new IP address. However, some older versions of software in the unit will not respond to the Port Server Utility. In this case, you may need to restore the default configuration on the unit and start from scratch (see FAQ dealing with restoring the factory default configuration). |
