1. Make sure the port server is configured for reverse telnet and set the baud rate (usually 4800). It is also preferable to assign a static IP address if it doesn't already have one.
2.  Open the Add Printer Wizard
   - In Windows 2000 or XP "Classic View": Control Panel - Printers (or "Printers and Faxes") - Add Printer
   - In XP Category View: Control Panel - "Printers and Other Hardware" - Add a printer
3. Click "next" in the first window.
4. Select "local printer" and do not select "automatically detect" - Click "next"
5. Create a new port and select "Standard TCP/IP" as the type of port. - Click "next"
6. A new window will open - Click "next"
7. In "Printer Name or IP address" put in the IP address of the Systech port server. Make sure you change the Port Name - The port name will automatically be "IP_" and the IP address you entered. This should be changed so that they can add multiple printers with the same IP address. - Click "next"
8. Windows will sit and think about this for a couple of minutes. The next window will let you select the "Device Type" Select "Custom" and click on "Settings"
9. In the "settings" window: select "LPR" for protocol.
   For "Queue Name" put "fport#" where # is the physical port number on the unit. (ie. for port 2, put "fport2")
   Check the "LPR Byte Counting Enabled" box. - Click "OK" - Click "next"
10. The next window shows a summary of the printer settings. Click "finish"
11. The next window allows you to select the make and model of the printer. If the customer knows the model, they can put it in here. Otherwise you can use Generic / Text Only. - Click "next" (if it asks you if you want to keep the existing driver, say yes and click "next".
12. Assign a printer name. This is up to the customer. - Click "next"
13. Choose "do not share this printer" - Click "next"
14. Choose "yes" for "Do you want to print a test page" - Click "next"
15. Verify that the test page printed.
