Q: How do I set up my IPG to do a PPP?     A: PPP Setup On The IPG Set up PPP for DBU Go to PPP Settings (PPP0 is selected by default) Select Outgoing PPP Select Modem for the port Enter the phone number, username and password If you want the connection to stay up all the time when the Internet is down, leave Inactivity timeout 0. Otherwise, specify when you want it to hangup. Leave Chat script and Advanced options default Click Save Changes If you have a secondary number to access the ISP, select PPP1 and set it up with the second number. On the PPP page, under Network backup Select the Primary Backup device as PPP0 If you configured PPP1, set it as the Secondary You can leave the default Check Peers Click Save Network Backup In case we do need to do some diagnostics, please set up logging in the unit: Go to Log Files and Settings Check the Modem port Check Serial events and TTY Events Check Service events and PPP events Click Apply Changes To view the log, go to System Log in the menu.
