most current version of the
Manual. The on-line Manual includes
changes which were not available
for the print version distributed
in the PDF format. This on-line
guide documents Release 06E
of the RCS/5000 firmware and
is based on Revision A of the
Hardware Manual (Part number:
80-001051-5). Currently, none
of the information has changed.
The on-line manual contains
the same information as the
PDF manual. |

Available
for UNIX Systems. Allows
you to have telnet sessions
and to specify which PTY
device to use for an incoming
telnet connection, rather
than arbitrarily picking
a PTY device. This allows
you to have the same tty
name every time you log
in. |

r4000 Utility |
Available
for UNIX and Windows 95/98/NT/XP.
Provides command line
uploads and downloads
from the RCS/4000. Allows
you to script updates
of software and configurations
for your field installation.

rtn Utility |
Available
for UNIX. Creates a pseudo-tty
(pty) device on the host
that is connected via
TELNET or raw TCP to an
RCS/4000 serial port.
Allows UNIX programs such
as tip(1C) and uucp(1C)
to access serial devices
attached to RCS/4000 ports.
