Dial-to-IP Gateways/Converters for Non-Payment Applications Print E-mail

The IPG/7000 Series of Dial-to-IP Gateways and Converters permit HVAC, building management and similar control systems to simply and efficiently re-route data transfers via the Internet or private IP networks instead of dial up telephone lines.

The IPG/7000 Series comes with either phone ports or DB25 serial ports. The phone ports are standard phone RJ-11 wall jacks. Using these ports, the IPG acts like the phone company, answering calls, but routing them over a network connection instead of through the phone system. The DB25 serial ports, which can be configured as DCE or DTE, emulate an external modem, routing dialed connections over the network. The IPG uses the latest accepted standards for SSL encryption and no changes should be required for your existing remote data access and collection applications. The Systech solution provides a fast, flexible and secure IP-based platform for sending data over Internet connections.

An optional dial port can be used as a backup to dial an ISP if the internet connection is down, or to route some calls to systems that do not yet support SSL or IP connections.

The IPG/7000 series is bundled with Systech's Remote Network Device Monitoring software capability that delivers the ability to manage, control, and share access to networks deploying Systech's dial-to-IP solutions through any Internet browser.

The IPG/7500 dial back-up gateway is ideally suited for customers that have an IP broadband network but also need a dial-up (view the IPG/7500 online data sheet).

The IPG/7500 device is a node on the network and transactions flow through the device onto the processor. In the background, the IPG/7500 transparently monitors the health of the high speed connection. In the event that the Internet is down, the device will automatically send the transaction to the appropriate processor via a phone line.

For developers and OEMs with unique protocol conversion, monitoring, or reporting needs, Systech's Developer's API is available to create custom added-value applications.
