New Serial-to-IP Products for Industrial, Factory and Harsh Operating Environment

San Diego, CA - August 14, 2009 -
Systech Computer Corporation, a leading provider of IP network devices and equipment today announced it has added new one and two serial port models to its iNS/ and ixNS/3000 industrial network server line.

The new industrial network server products are designed to meet the stringent operating requirements of industrial, factory and other harsh environments, particularly for networks where serial devices are dispersed over large areas. According to Mark Fowler, Systech's President and CEO, "pipelines, water sampling installations, solar and wind farms can have requirements for individually attaching serial devices (such as meters, recording and monitoring devices) to the network, and in a number of instances physical space is limited.

The new Systech products more cost effectively target these requirements with one and two serial port configurations, and a new, reduced size ruggedized enclosure. Conditions in industrial environments can be extremely harsh; networking equipment and systems must be able to withstand high levels of electrical noise, dust, dirt, humidity, extended media distances, 24/7 continuous operation and extended hot/cold temperature extremes. The new industrial network server product additions are designed expressly for operating in these environments.

The new product models can be configured with a combination of one or two DB-9 serial ports, and a single Ethernet port. All four new models feature a reduced size, ruggedized metal enclosure (IP40 rating), choice of shelf and optional DIN rail mounting, multiple input power options (DC as well as AC), a removable terminal block for each serial port and industry standard TCP/IP. The ixNS/3000 models are designed with 3KV serial port isolation on all serial ports.

The new products are designed to work with the recently introduced Systech ONDEMAND™ Remote Access and Management software suite. Additionally, the new products come with Systech's proven suite of networking software including 1) Modbus gateway for TCP to RTU connectivity, 2) NativeCom port redirection for Windows environments, 3) Remote Network Device Monitoring and Management, 4) Web-browser based installation and diagnostics, 5) software selectable hardware interfaces, 6) SSL encryption and 7) remote and local diagnostics. Additionally, for developers and OEM's with unique protocol conversion, monitoring and routing needs, a Systech Developer's API and kit are available.

The new, one and two serial port Industrial Network Server products will be marketed through leading resellers, integrators and OEMs delivering industrial and factory automation solutions. The new products are in production and shipping in evaluation quantities.
